It is an interactive museum near Columbus, OH called The Works: Ohio Center For History, Art, And Technology. The center features art installations and exhibits for all ages. Come explore the new world of learning.

The main attraction is the Ohio Center For History, Art, And Technology which features interactive exhibits and art displays. Every exhibit offers something different so there’s always something new to explore.

The Works also has an outdoor area with two playgrounds for kids to enjoy. One playground even has swings.

The Works: Ohio Center For History, Art, And Technology is a wonderful place to visit whether you’re traveling with young children or just looking for something new to do on your lunch break. 

This innovative museum offers engaging exhibits that are sure to inspire creativity and curiosity among visitors of all ages. Showcasing over 100 years of industrial history from across the Midwest region as well as contemporary arts programming; this “museum” is unlike any other. 

One of the most popular exhibits is called “A Day In The Life,” which shows what life was like for an average family from the 1930s-1970s. Visitors can also see some old cars, airplanes, and other machinery. On the main floor, you can get into the art gallery for free. The most popular part of this building is when they do glass blowing demonstrations. You can also make your own piece of hot glass if you want. Or, if you like to buy ornaments for your Christmas tree from where you’ve been on vacation, then this is a place to come and shop. 

Explore more than 40 interactive stations where you can learn about everything from agriculture innovations like GPS.

The Works was designed by world-renowned architect David Adjaye.

Hours, Costs, and Guidelines

Tuesday – Saturday     9 am to 4 pm

Sunday – Monday        Closed

Costs: Children $8  (ages 3-17 under 3 free)

Adults $12 (ages 18-54)

Seniors$10 (ages 55+)

They accept walk-in visitors. Visitors who are 2 years old and older are required to wear a face covering while they are in the museum. Check out the CDC guidelines here

Best route now, avoids road closure on W Main St

Head west on Scheidler St toward S 2nd St. Turn right onto S 2nd St. 

Continue on E Market St to W Main St then Turn left at the 2nd cross street onto E Market St. Turn right onto S 5th St. then Turn left onto W Main St. Continue on Tamarack Rd to your destination. Turn left onto Tamarack Rd. then Turn right, Turn left. Destination will be on the right.

They’re near the heart of our community, The Works have a FREE parking lot. It is close to the main entrance and has handicap spots.
